A Compliant Type with Greatly Reduced Confidence
This type tries to fit themselves to everyone and avoids almost completely the acts of stepping forward, stating an opinion, or entering conflict. Because confidence is low, they spend a great deal of energy watching the reactions of those around them, and tend to move only toward what feels safest rather than what reflects their own standards. Interest and desire may also appear weak, making life as a whole feel faded. If this condition continues too long, even ordinary social life may start to feel overwhelming. What matters first is not a great challenge, but recovering confidence little by little through very small experiences of speaking up and deciding something for themselves.
Romantic Partner, Spouse - Resistance may be low, but for the relationship to stay healthy, not only one-sided leadership but also this person's autonomy and confidence need to grow. Business Clients - They may be overly compliant, which means the result can depend almost entirely on how the other side handles things. That fragility needs to be kept in mind. Boss - There is little practical gain in pressuring them simply because they seem lacking in spirit. What matters is a realistic judgment about whether to help or keep distance. Coworker, Subordinate - It is usually best to begin with small, structured office-type tasks and only then gradually widen the range depending on what proves possible.
